Recently Finished Beadwork:

Finally! Finished something at last!

Garden Variety Cab ThumbnailGarden Variety Necklace

My first beaded cabochon as well as my first attempt at seedbeading without a pattern. It's not perfect, but I do love the colors, and I'm pretty happy with the overall result.

Thought I'd never finish this one. All that fringe takes a while, but the froth effect was worth the effort. The original pattern, which came from a new magazine Carolyn had at the store (the title of which I don't remember), had less fringe and used raku buttons. I modified the pattern slightly, but not so that it's unrecognizable.

Okay, the pattern in Bead & Button calls them snowflakes, but since real snowflakes are six-sided that didn't seem quite right. These are part of an ornament that I'm making for our small group leaders (who decorate their tree all in white). The ornament takes seven flakes. I'll have more crystals than I need, so I'll use the remainder to make a pair (or six) of earrings.
